     Chisinau International Airport is Moldova’s main international airport, located 13 km (8.1 mi) southeast of the center of Chisinau, the capital city. It offers connections to many of European cities, including Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Bucharest, Dublin, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Kiev, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Bologna, Paris, Rome, St. Petersburg, Tel Aviv, Warsaw and many others. The IATA airport code KIV is derived from Kishinev (the Russian name of the city).
